Pathetic show of Pakistan patriotism, Islamism at MQM tribute to Prof Zafar Arif

Image
I very well remember the evening when the door bell rang of my rented home and as soon as I opened the gate, the two youths barged in, one of them holding a revolver-- sector in-charge of the MQM. the other guy was the one from whom I had purchased a computer on installments, was good on payment and was at the time living with my ex-wife, grand daughter of Shaheed Allah Bakhsh Soomro-- had Soomro not been assassinated in 1943 the nonsense named Pakistan would not have been created. It was shocking since there was no reason for such an armed banditry. So I immediately called the rich mohajir businessman who had helped with the deal and thankfully at the same time a cousin and my secret lover arrived. The mohajir businessman seemed to have told the MQM thugs they were messing with the wrong guy. So thankfully the armed MQM sector incharge left without harming me or taking back my desk top computer. The experience was quite shocking and was in fact one of the main reasons that I lef...

Mother of Ehsan Arjemandi. An ailing and aged Baloch mother may pass away in Zahedan, without catching the last glimpse of her Norwegian son, who was abducted more than eight years ago. Troika of Baloch brothers-in-law announce agreement but many questions remain unanswered

Image
Pakistan allegation that India sponsored the $15 million ads in Geneva, London, Manchester and New York appear to be  mind boggling as Baloch Gandhi Mama Qadeer, seen here with his grandson Beuragh Reki in the Holy City of Varanasi, was helped by Hindu spiritual leader Jitendranand Sarasawati as Indian government officials did not support him at all. Three Baloch militant groups, whose main leaders are allegedly based thousands of miles away from the battlefields of Balochistan, have announced they have reached an agreement on joint actions against the Pakistan occupation troops. The Republican News Network cited Sarbaz Baloch, spokesman for the Baloch Republican Army, as announcing the agreement, though the main question why they were separate in the first place was not answered at all. The brief handout twice mentioned the words "policy statement" and said the central leaders of the Baloch Republican Army, United Baloch Army and Lashkar-i-Balochistan after ...

Taha Siddiqui applies for asylum in France; first Baloch speech at UN

Image
Almost anyone who does objective journalism, research or lobbies for curtailing the ISI influence in Pakistan politics almost immediately becomes an unwanted person and either gets killed or flees Pakistan. The latest to flee Pakistan is Taha Siddiqui, a journalist, who has applied for asylum in France. Taha Siddiqui spoke at the conference in Geneva and will again be speaking there in March, according to a reporter in Geneva. Now in Western safety, Siddiqui tweeted Tuesday, "Pakistan Army needs to really decide if it wants to further iasolate Pakistan globally or stop sponsoring proxies." Taha Siddiqui was also sympathetic towards the Baloch demanding freedom from Pakistan and escaped a kidnapping attempt by Pakistan secret services. Though the name of the ISI surfaces in most cases, another brutal organization targeting journalists and political activists is the Military Intelligence. All fertile minds, whether local or foreign, are unwanted in Pakistan. One of ...

Washington, D.C. –  Following a series of incidents of harassment capped by a near-fatal attack on the lives of several relatives of their Research Director, the American Friends of Balochistan (AFB) refused to be intimidated and issued a public statement. AFB urges the US State Department to take serious notice of the attack and unlawful harassment of the family members of their leaders. In a Press statement issued by the organization's public relations director Carl Clemens Mahodaya, the AFB said last Friday, three brothers, a nephew and a cousin of an AFB director miraculously survived a murderous hail of bullets on the Quetta-Chaman Road, near Jangal Camp while they were traveling from Pishin to their home town Kullaza in Qilla Abdullah. The attackers were said to be from the family of the late Shah Wali Piralizai and are protected by local political bigwig Majeed Khan Achakzai, who is a member of the provincial assembly. Such incidents are not uncommon in that area, an...
