Pashtuns awaken after long slumber to meet in Philly, rally in DC

It seems like the Pashtuns have finally woken up from their long slumber and now know the bad boys of Aabpara are their worse enemies, bleeding them on both sides of the Durand Line. In this connection, a historic and the largest ever gathering of Pashtun people is taking place in Philadelphia Saturday evening and a rally is being organized in front of the Pakistan embassy Sunday afternoon in Washington DC as well.

The events organized by Pashtun Americans will highlight the Pashtun struggle for human rights and dignity under Pakistani government.

The participants will learn about the historic 'Pashtun Spring' that is underway in Pakistan in the wake of the extrajudicial police killing of a rising social media celebrity Naqeebullah, 27, a member of the a Pashtun tribe in southern Waziristan who used to work as a cloth merchant, in a fake police encounter in Karachi.
